How to Lose Weight with GOD's Word and Medical Science

 


What happens when God's WORD combines with medical science to help you lose weight? Imagine powerful inspiration backed up by facts.

I have the habit of taking pertinent bible passages that have to do with health and fitness and combine them with facts from medical health science. Then I apply them to my fitness program. You'd experience the wonderful effects of what most people wrongly think are two powerful "opposing" ideas--the bible and science.

In health and fitness--and in weight loss---they're not opposing. They're really complementary.

Here's an example. In Genesis 6, God decided to put a limit on man's life, limiting it to 120 years. Before this, people lived a lot longer. Then in Genesis 9 (after the flood and Noah and company went out of the Ark) God also allowed animal meat to be eaten, not just plants.

You see that?

To shorten man's life, God allowed him to eat meat. Meat can shorten life. Therefore, to prolong it, we must eat more vegetables. We should go back to God's original plan. You see the role of science when God acted to accomplish his Word?

Medical science agrees with what God says. It must. In the example above, vegetables and fruits contain antioxidants that help fight deadly ailments and prolong life. A reputable site, WebMD, mentions a medical study on this. "The study shows that eating foods rich in antioxidants, like vegetables and fruits, fights disease and may prolong life." That's how God designed it, and nature has no other recourse but to obey. And then science notes that in its lab tests and declares so.

WebMD went on to say that, "Researchers found that people with the highest levels of the antioxidant alpha-carotene in their blood had a 39% lower risk of death from any cause, including heart disease and cancer, than those who had the lowest levels of the antioxidant during the 14-year study." That's science declaring its finds from what God has designed.

Furthermore, it quoted a medical authority: "These findings support increasing fruit and vegetable consumption as a means of preventing premature death," according to researcher Chaoyang Li, MD, PhD, of the CDC and colleagues in the Archives of Internal Medicine. Without meaning to, science found out why God originally made man eat only seed-bearing fruits when he wanted man to live forever, and later changed man's diet to include animal meats to limit man's life on earth when man sinned. 

With truths and facts corroborating each other like that--and with some imagination use that to empower your weight loss strategies--you'd be more empowered to stick to your weight loss regimen. Or, you can make your own by merely following bible principles and health science facts. Knowing, for instance, how vegetables prolong life and help you fight diseases because it was how God first designed man's diet, you can now more easily convince yourself that, yeah, eating more vegetables and fruits is the key. The info comes from no less than God and backed up no less than a medical health authority.
